From Arab to American, of science and creativity in the world. Both regions share many common interests and increasingly interdependent economies. The Saudi-American Healthcare Forum will be looking to the future by defining an agenda, based on real objectives, for continued healthcare innovations, with a bilateral and international focus.
Objectives of the Saudi-American Healthcare Forum? Simply stated, to continue what we have achieved so far with the past Saudi-American Healthcare Forums, but with an additional focus on the fields of science, technology and research, both bilaterally and internationally.
Saudi-American Healthcare Forum with over 1,000 attendees, more than 70 high-level speakers from both the private and public sectors, and 30 international exhibitors. The outcome is due in great part to the support from our speakers and sponsors.
An important basis for the Forum is to:
Continue the awareness of the role that science, research, education and innovation play in economic and social well-being
Continue the importance of coordinating national healthcare efforts to tackle our common societal challenges between the regions of the KSA and USA.
Continue the sustainable and inclusive growth between the regions to create the needed conditions to further develop a bilateral partnership in the healthcare field.
Education, training, technology and innovation are key Forum elements on which to build together our partnership with our sponsors. This will enable us to identify the answers we need to many of today's pressing healthcare challenges. Hence, it makes perfect sense to tackle these challenges jointly, and to bring our healthcare systems, physicians, scientists and entrepreneurs together so they can explore the solutions to provide the cures we need. Therefore, the Saudi-American Healthcare Forum 2017 will have a knowledge-sharing component to its individual agenda.
Specifically, the Forum will include an overlay theme reflecting the impact of population health on healthcare relations/education between the regions of KSA and USA.
There is also a strong economic rationale to work together: investing in and cooperating on healthcare research and innovation promotes growth and jobs, and improves people’s lives across both regions as well as across global markets, which is testimony to the importance of holding the Forum. With the Saudi-American Healthcare Forum2016, the cooperation between our regions took a major step forward with participation from the public sector, including: HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar, Governor of Riyadh; H.E Minister of Health; the U.S. Department of State; the U.S. Embassy, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC); and, of course, from the private sector with our important sponsors like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
